Sportsmed Southern Physio was first opened in 2004 and continues to provide quality evidence based Physiotherapy in order to achieve optimum results.

Our clinicians are highly qualified physiotherapists with specific interests in sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Sportsmed provides 30 minutes of one to one injury assessmemt and treatment, ensuring clients receive the highest level of patient care, promoting optimum recovery within safe and effective timescales.

We have a specialised interest and significant experience in sports physiotherapy, manipulative physiotherapy, musculoskeletal injuries, spinal injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, gym based rehabilitation and occupational injuries.

We are Physiotherapists to the Southland Stags, Southland Sharks, Southern Steel, Southland Sports Academy, Rugby Southland, Invercargill Netball Centre, Marist, Star, Woodlands and Waikiwi Rugby Clubs.

Sportsmed are also providers to staff at Blue Sky Meats, South Pacific Meats, Alliance, Tiwai Aluminium Smelter and residents at Clare House Retirement Village.

As well as a clinic in Invercargill at ILT Stadium Southland we also have clinics in Snap Fitness and the Bluff Medical Centre, as well as providing on site treatment at SIT, James Hargest College, Southland Boys High School, Verdon College and Aurora College.
