Malachai attended primary school in Fiji and completed his high school education in Vietnam before moving to New Zealand to study at the University of Otago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science in 2022, followed by a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2025.

As a new graduate physiotherapist, Malachai is excited to begin his career at Sportmed, having completed a clinical placement in Invercargill last year. He enjoys working with a wide variety of patients and has a strong interest in helping people return to their everyday activities and achieve their personal goals.

With a sporting background that includes basketball, volleyball, and rock climbing, Malachai has a particular passion for basketball but enjoys working across a range of sports and activity levels.

Roy is a born and bred Southlander who graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2008. Roy later completed a Postgraduate diploma in Health Science in 2022. He has worked in both private practice and Hospitals in New Zealand and Australia. He enjoys most sports but is mostly found running after his young children these days. Roy has a special interest in treating patients with back pain, concussion and persistent pain conditions.
