Osteoarthritis Classes

Osteoarthritis Classes

These classes are specially designed for patients with age related changes in their hip and knee joints, or people who have undergone total knee/hip joint replacements.

Understandably, living with Osteoarthritis (OA) can be challenging. Fortunately, there are many ways to address this condition, including education and exercise classes run by our physiotherapist. The first step in managing OA symptoms is learning as much as you can about what to expect. It’s been shown by research that the more you know about it, the better you are able to manage your symptoms.

This class is focussed on the best current evidence for the management of OA symptoms. It consists of 13 sessions, including education and exercise components, that will provide you support and guidance to help you get back into, and/or prolong the things you enjoy in life. Everyone in the class is working with similar challenges, which builds a sense of community and camaraderie within the group.

Classes include:

  • Pre-operative / Avoiding surgery

  • Post-operative (>6 weeks)

  • General OA

Unfortunately we currently do not have the capacity to be running these classes but we hope to be in a position to do so again soon, if you would like to book a one on one consult with one of our team or request to be informed when the next course will be running please contact us on (03) 217 3420.
